Free The Best Memories Are Made Gathered Around The Christmas Tree SVG File

In just a few hours my wonderful mother in law will come in to town for the holidays and I am so excited. There’s nothing better than spending Christmas with my little family gathered around our tree.

Today’s free SVG cut file design is perfect for making a welcoming Christmas pillow or sign for your house to say to your guests how happy you are to have them spend this time with you.

To make a pillow like the one above is really simple. You only need 3 materials to complete this project and that is a blank pillowcase, iron-on vinyl and a pillow to put inside when you’ve finished pressing the design.

If you’re looking for blank pillowcases, I have found some on Amazon that are just beautiful. They come in different colors and sizes and they have a zipper along the edge of the pillowcase to make it easy to take the pillow in and out as needed.

When you’re ready to cut your design, my biggest tip is to make sure to measure the pillow case using tape measure and determine how big the design needs to be before you cut it. This will help you with placement and to make sure that the wording is displayed as large or as small as you’d like.

Once you have the sizing down, update the file in your design software to reflect it and send it to cut. Since you’ll be using iron-on vinyl, you’ll want to remember to mirror your images.

This design is multi-color, meaning that you will need to use different colors of heat transfer vinyl to complete the project. I think that using a red or green glitter iron-on sheet for the word gathered or the tree would look lovely as well.

When you’re ready to press it, I recommend taking the pillow out and perhaps using a pressing pillow inside to help the vinyl to really adhere well. If you don’t have a pressing pillow you can buy a set of 3 on Amazon, or you can simply fold up some fabric or shirt to stuff inside the pillowcase while you press it so as to keep it flat and even with the seams.
