Okay, let’s be super dramatic for a moment … this Easter doormat design is absolutely adorable! Are you with me?
Decorated doormats for holidays are becoming popular and this free SVG design is one that you’re going to want to have in your collection. Not only would this look great on your front porch, but if you’re doing any Spring craft fairs, this is one you’re going to want to have in your shop.
If you’ve never used your cutting machine to decorate doormats like this one, not to worry that I have a DIY Doormat Q&A post that will answer every question that you can possibly have. Make sure to visit it before you get started.
The basics that you will need are a blank coir doormat which you can find at stores like Target and Ikea (way cheaper at Ikea btw), some stencil vinyl (my fave is Oramask 813), and some outdoor acrylic paint.
Once you get started, remember that when you’re using paint for projects like this you want to use the most minimal amount of paint possible to avoid the paint bleeding and messing up your stenciled design.
I also recently read in one of the many craft groups I’m in that using spray paint works great for doormat projects because it doesn’t bleed and it’s way faster to complete the project.
I’m not sure about the longevity, but if you’re looking for a quick way to get these doormats done, it may be worth a try.
QUICK NOTE: You can use this design for personal and commercial use. If you’d like to share it with your friends (I’d LOVE THIS!), I do ask that you just link them to this post and help support my website. Also, please don’t upload it to a print on demand (POD) website, or send it for mass production.
Thank you so much for your support, and if you make anything with this design, tag me @PerfectStylishCuts, I love seeing your makes.
