It’s almost Halloween, we’ve got exactly 1 day to go. Are you ready for the madness that the night will surely bring? Just think about the kids running around on a sugar rush.
Sticking with my theme this year of releasing only Christmas designs during the Spook-Tacular Week that we’re having right now, I’ve got a new design that you’re going to absolutely love.
That’s right, I’m so positive that you will love this design because it’s trendy. Like really trendy, but don’t worry that I hand drew this especially for you!
Oh my gosh, what do you think? Did you see that coming? I bet you did if you wrote the title of this post, but isn’t it just beaut? (Did you notice my Christmas Vacation movie reference there?)
But seriously, this is a super easy cut that you can make in no time. It’s perfect for almost any sort of project, but I think it would go best on a sign. Especially because there are people who are doing all of their decor this Christmas around the “old red truck”.
Since this design is only 2 colors, red and green, won’t need to do much layering. You can cut this out all at once using stencil vinyl and just put it on a blank wood sign or do a reverse canvas sign.
If you’ve never made a wood sign and the thought of making one scares you to death, remember that you can always purchase a finished sign at places like Joann, Hobby Lobby and Michaels and just re-purpose it. It’s so simple to do and often you can find signs in the clearance isles, especially past holiday signs.
All you need to do to re-purpose it is paint the the sign white again, let it dry and then begin with your new sign. It’s that easy!
If you don’t yet have stencil vinyl and are looking for a recommendation, I recommend and use Oracal 813. I get mine at Expressions Vinyl because the price is right, you can get a decent amount and they ship really fast, but you can also find it on Amazon.
FYI, you will need transfer tape for this project as well, so make sure to have some on hand. If you can, order some clear transfer tape and this will help you line up your designs on the sign to create much more professional looking crafts.
